Papillon Puppy Owners!
We are happy to have so many new friends added to our pet family. Here are some pictures and comments from our new puppy parents.
Abby
Abby is living her best life and has matured into a confident and poised young lady. She continues to charm and impress everyone she meets. Her Rally-Obedience and Tricks instructors can’t get enough of how sweet and smart she is. She just loves to learn and train, excelling at every level. These two sports already keep me very busy but I decided to put her into CKC Sprint just for fun. Believe it or not, in a few runs, she nabbed her first sprint title, we were floored! This girl can run fast and if dad didn’t leave and go back to the car after releasing her, she would have fired up the scores even more (she turned to see where dad went for a second…adorable!)
This past summer, Abby was also asked to play Bruiser, the chihuahua in the Broadway Musical, Legally Blonde (adapted for the movie starring Reese Witherspoon 20 years ago). The production company begged us to allow her but after reviewing the gruelling schedule, large number of scenes, also being outdoor (heat) with hundreds of people in attendance - we decided this wasn’t something we wanted to subject her to and walked away. Her agent and dog handler had also just moved to AB. We did find a new agent/dog handler who happened to be Abby’s old agility instructor! Turns out she has been in the “biz” for decades, we are thrilled to be working with her moving ahead on any gigs that might come our way. We are very selective and happy to hear that she is as well prioritizing our dog’s wellbeing. Shortly after, I rec’d a call that Abby was selected to do some promotional material for an Amazon nail board & enrichment toy product in the USA. It was a very simple campaign and Abby nailed it in 3 takes!
Tehya
My husband and I are so happy with the little Papillon we adopted from Rae Anne Kennels and Toby in 2018. She is a beautiful, athletic and an incredibly intelligent little girl. Toby has always been extremely helpful with questions we had about her care and advised us she would be more than happy to offer advice at any time should we have any concerns or issues. We will be forever grateful to Rae Anne Kennels for this wonderful creature who brings such joy to our lives each and every day.
Noble
Though Toby put me on her wish list for possibly late winter, she nevertheless welcomed my request to visit her kennels late August. On our arrival, we were dumbstruck when she offered us the opportunity to take home a young tricolour male who coincidentally had my grandmothers’ maiden name! Of course, I said yes! Noble is impossibly adorable (I cried when I first saw him) and Toby’s dedication and love for him shows in his calm confidence and eager trust in the world. Most people respond immediately to his incredibly expressive, curious, loving and often cheeky personality. Noble seems almost psychic in his ability to know what is expected of him, so he learns most commands and tricks by the third repetition. He’s “full on” in everything he does. I know that I can look to Toby with any questions I might have in the future, but for now I am just grateful to her for entrusting me with the 5 1/2 pounds of joy that is Noble.
Beauty
We found Toby through her website and she was the only breeder that contacted us back immediately, answered all our questions, and allowed us to meet her dogs and see her breeding space before we decided to get a dog from her. She was very professional from beginning to end and very patient with us. Beauty was conceived on one of our visits to meet the dogs.
Beauty has been such a delight to us. She has been healthy since day one and full of energy. She is only 6lbs, has a beautiful figure, gorgeous markings and loves to run. The day we brought her home, she never missed her litter mates, she transitioned so well and made herself at home. Getting a Papillon from Toby was the best decision we ever made.
Willow
Willow has been a blessing to our family. We’ve had her for over a year now. She is healthy, spunky, smart, so sweet, and easy going. We love her so much. I highly recommend Toby as a breeder as she was very professional, ethical, knowledgeable, and very caring with her pups.
Aria
I went with my mother to Rae Anne Kennels to pick up her new puppy, and I instantly fell in love with one of Toby's older puppies, Aria. I asked if I could please be on the list for if Aria ever needed a new home and was delighted to find out a few weeks later that Aria would be able to come home with me. Since then she has been an incredibly friendly, well behaved, and calm puppy who has adapted to our household in no time at all. I am absolutely in love with my little dog!
Fitz
I really love my little papillon from Rae Anne Kennels. He is an absolutely beautiful dog physically, and also very alert, affectionate, playful and wanting to please. Training has been surprisingly easy and I find myself just staring at his sweet little face. He has won my husband over to being a two dog household and we are excitedly awaiting picking up a second pup from Toby in the coming weeks. I have been so impressed with Toby’s commitment to the breed, the genuine care she takes with their health, temperament and training. We are so excited to have her dogs as a part of our family.
